The small format of the North Sea: the turquoise wave rises in engraved spirals, and the storm is written on the edge.

In this small format, the composition tightens: the painted sea occupies the top of the panel, grey and white with foam, while the turquoise wave breaks away and descends in spirals engraved directly onto the pine. On the edge, painted midnight blue, a sentence is inscribed by hand: 'The sea is not ashamed of its storms'.

A maxim engraved like a talisman: storms are not flaws; they are part of the sea—and of us.
