A stag carries, between its antlers, a plate of cherries where tiny tightrope walkers in red dresses play with the void.
The forest is painted in an almost unreal sea-green, like a childhood memory replayed a thousand times. In the centre, the animal looks the viewer in the eye while three small red figures walk on its antlers, suspended from a branch, tightrope walkers in a miniature circus.
That which is bigger than us can also carry us. The forest is not hostile: it accepts the game, the fragile balance, the indulgence. The stag does not move—it is this stillness that allows the others to dance.
